Owwwww D:

Like every day I was driving my daily 30 km drive from work and while I tried to avoid some idiotic VW Golf drivers, I was pondering about the possibility that the current weather might be too warm for Little Hondas.

For the past few days I am tinkering the settings because my grey Honda PC50 is not running very well. The current outside temperature is 25-30 degrees Celcius and little wind. When the engine was cold, it ran well but along the route the performance declined quite a bit. So was it the heat, and especially the engines' ability to properly aircool the cilinder in these weather conditions?

I think I have figured it out in a bad way. 15 Kilometres from home, the engine stalled, made a very narly sound and quit. WTF, did the piston jam?? Fortunately I was able to slowly rotate the crankshaft, so in any case, there was still a chance of going home by moped.

After letting the engine cool for about 10 minutes, I carefully started the engine again and thank goodness, no smoke from the exhaust. Too bad tho that the engine has almost no power left and it will not go faster that 35km/h at the moment. Headwind also greatly reduces speed, so my guess is that I -only- blew a gasket.

We'll find out soon :)

91.110 Downloads so far!

As i was closing down the old download section, I took the effort to calculate the total amount of downloads in the documentation section. This appeared to be 91.110 downloads since 2005. Thank you, guys ;)

The sun is shining...

... the weather is nice!

Passion for driving an old Honda 4-stroke moped always grows when the weather is nice. Especially today when there is little wind, so the engine does not have to work so hard and you can really pick up the smell of blossoming flowers, the lake water and ofcourse cow dung xD

I'll be poking my Red PC50 tonight! The handle bars (monkey bars, so hands up high in the air) will be changed to a low and narrow one. Much handier in storage and safer to drive for my partner. I'll post some pics when it's ready!

Followup: Tired, food, couch, snore. Procrastination ftw. Mebeh tomorrow :D

A flood of ideas

It's a good thing to drive to work on my trusty PC50 lately. Not only the huge amount of fresh (and cold Dx) air, but it gives me plenty of time to ponder about what to add to this website.

I've noticed that there is a demand for good and clear manuals regarding to repair and maintenance. The main problem is time (duh) and the ability to show it so that even a beginner understands it. Video? Images? I'm not sure yet. I will try video first, because I know that my workshops with pictures do work.

So, I need ideas please. Maybe email it to me or drive over to our nice forum and put your ideas there. ^^ (note: the old forum can be found here)
