Page 4 The SVIA began to develop the ATV rider course on its own before any awareness of CPSC ' s interest in ATV accidents .

The rider course has been implemented on a nationwide basis .

Suzuki will promote awareness of the SVIA course by including the toll free telephone number in our future print advertisements and product brochures . The SVIA course is

quite impressive in equipping novice riders with fundamental

riding skills and safety awareness in four and one - half to

six hours .

Suzuki has also distributed SVIA ' S " Tips for the ATV Rider "

publication to our dealers for distribution to customers . We will distribute the " ATV Off - Road Practice Guide " publication in the near future .

Suzuki has prepared a booklet containing both " Tips for the

ATV Rider " and the " ATV Off - Road Practice Guide " . Vehicles produced since May will be distributed with a copy of the

combined Tips / Practice Guide booklet .

In addition to reaching future customers , Suzuki will send

past customers a copy of the combined Tips / Practice Guide

booklet , along with other safety information .

Voluntary Standards

Currently underway is a major project to develop voluntary standards for ATVS . The SVIA ' s Voluntary Standards
