When you want to perform a search in our Honda Vehicle Identification Number database, you can press "Advanced Search" and enter your query there. The trick is to filter out the information that you need and with so many numbering formats.
When you have clicked Advance Search, you will be presented with a new window where you can search for Honda Model, VIN Frame, Carburetor ID, Vin Engine, Built in and Notes.
In this case, I show you that I am looking for a Honda Model that CONTAINS "cm185". After entering my query, I press the Apply button and await the results.
And the results will follow quickly, if available.

Hi Stu, what you got there is what we call a "marriage" and to determine they year this bike was built in (for registration purposes) all you need is the VIN or Frame number. I do not have much information about the ST70, but since you have a 6-digit number, I would assume yours is built around 1970. ( see https://4-stroke.net/library/identification/frame-number-info-honda-st70.html )
Your engine is probably built in 1978 and is indicated as one of the following types:
I hope this has been helpful for you! :)
Hi, this is not much data I can work with, but all I can say is that this engine is either used under a CG125 (1976 - 2008) or a XR125(L / 2007?).
Thanks Stu
